Frequently Asked Questions

Are you currently accepting new clients?

Yes, I am currently accepting new clients. The best way to get started is to schedule a free initial consultation call. This call gives us an opportunity to discuss your goals, answer your questions, explore my approach to somatic therapy, and determine if we are a good fit to work together.

What are your business hours and methods of meeting?

I see clients in-person at my Mission Hills office on Mondays (9am-2pm), Wednesdays (9am-2pm) and Thursdays (9am-6pm).  I see clients virtually on Tuesdays (9am-6pm).

I am licensed to provide virtual somatic therapy to clients physically located anywhere in California, Connecticut, Idaho, or Florida.

Do I have to be “spiritual” to work with you?

No, you do not need to identify as spiritual to benefit from my practice. I welcome clients from all belief systems and faith/non-faith backgrounds.

Furthermore, I want to emphasize that spirituality is entirely client-defined — whether that means connecting with nature, trusting your intuition, or following a specific faith tradition.

Do you take insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider for most Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) insurance plans. If you would like to use your out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill if you wish to get reimbursed directly from your insurance. Please read this page to learn more about using your out-of-network benefits and why it can be beneficial to choose a therapist outside of your insurance plan.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes, I offer a limited number of sliding scale and reduced-fee slots based on financial need, life transitions, or underemployment. Please inquire about current availability during our consultation call.

Do you offer therapy in multiple languages?

Although I speak conversational-level Cantonese, I only offer therapy in English.

Are there issues you don’t treat?

To ensure you receive the most effective care, my practice is not designed to treat active suicidal or homicidal ideation, active eating disorders, non-suicidal self-harm, active substance addiction, psychosis, or Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

If you are seeking support in any of these areas, I am happy to provide trusted referrals to specialized clinical colleagues or treatment centers.
